Spectre completed asphalt repair at Pearson Airport. It was crucial that we had all our safety certificates and insurance in order to work on Pearson airport grounds. We completed a 2-coat filling of a trench dug to fix water lines. We added a base layer of HL8 commercial-grade asphalt and finished the top with HL3A fine mix to prevent sinking from heavy vehicles. Then we moved to the taxiway and storage hangars for Air Canada. We sprayed asphalt glue into potholes, filled them with hot HL3A fine asphalt straight from the plant, compacted them with our plate compactor, and swept up all debris. Keeping a clean work area was crucial, and using glue and fine asphalt helps prevent deterioration from airport sweepers and maintenance vehicles. We frequently work at the airport throughout the year.
